I was on a Mission!

I know I think different than others do, and I am ok with this, I think it makes me more of an artist, or at least that is my hope! :) So long ago when we first learned we were going to Texas, I bought the red beach chair frame, and at the time didn't know for sure what i wanted in it. Then we got to the beach, and Kevin handed me a sea shell, and i thought oh that is it! So as Cori began saying 'I was on a mission" I wanted many shells, I looked high and low with the help of the girls for 8 shells, so I could do a "Team Cooper" pic with shells. The last night there, Sam and hannah stayed with me and we found even more... that is when i thought I want a bowl with sand and shells! I knew in my mind who, what, when, why and how, i was going to use these shells! It became the joke between Cori and I. I LOVE the outcome, and oh man did it take awhile to get there! Bleaching, cleaning, hot glue gun, drying, washing, rinsing, you name it we did it! While I am not very crafty I do love the frame we made, and the bowl as well... I love the entire table actually!

WOW! Jody!!!!!! AMAZING!!!! WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! that frame is awesome!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE THE red chair, what a cleaver idea!!!!!!!! how cool!!!!! and I love the black and white pictures of you with one of the girls! I love how her bathing suit is colored!!! :) MAN, these are such great pictures and what great memories!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH like I've said before I miss the beach. I still have sea shells in a shoe box that I collected every summer we stayed at the beach for a week when I was a child. I have not shown them to my boys because they would lose them and destroy them!! and who knows how old the sea shells are???? given I am 34 and got them when I was a kid! I love sea shells!!!!!!! yours are great!!!!!!! thanks for sharing your memories with us!!! :)

Love that you are using the shells in a way that they will be enjoyed and seen. It is better than keeping them in a box in a basement.
Great ideas!
