Heath and Cade

With all the moving we have done, the boys have had to make new friends at new schools, so he met Cade at the beginning of 3rd grade. They are so funny together. They share quite a few similar interests which of course includes the love of skateboarding! Cade stayed over last night, which is very cool for Heath! They did pretty well they stayed up very late, and are still sleeping which is very rare for these two boys, who are early risers!

Summer Thus Far...

Well so far this summer Team Cooper has had water fights (sort-a Heath gets the girls wet while they yell) Broc has moved his mattress into Dave's room (not something I am thrilled with, but papa helped him) so Dave's room even clean, looks cluttered to me! The 3 boys stay up late, and sleep in... oh how nice it will be to get all 6 doing that! One Day! Kevin bought the ladies a little pool "like at aunt Cori's house" but as you can see in the middle image, they are not thrilled by the colder water that goes into it... They tell me No Mama, hot water like at the beach... :) The ladies had a sleepover in Day Day's room last night! That is not something that they will do alot, because they go to bed better in their own room, but every once in awhile it is fun for them!
We hope you are having a great summer as well!

Girls First Time At the Beach...

Please note the reason that only the girls are being mentioned is because the rest of us has been to a beach before! :) But this was the triplets FIRST time, and it was so funny to see them react. We went the very first night at high tide..... which scared the crap out of Aspen (hence the photo below, that is her crying) but the other two especially Payton loved it... In fact Payton scared us half to death, Ms. No Fear was going out into the ocean wayyyy to far! She kept telling us she is bigger and fine, but yeahhhh see not so much! :) Aspen finally came around enough to play in the sand, get Sea Shells, and "play" with the birds! Trinity LOVED it, and loved how hot it was, in fact they are not too thrilled with pool water now, it's too cold!

Aspen gets hurt... Again!

Aspen got hurt Again! for some reason 90% of the time one of the triplets gets hurt, it's her! We are not sure why, poor thing! She was in her bathing suit, went potty and when she tried to get off she was too wet and feel. She smacked her head right into the counter!

Big brothers (dave) always make it better, he got her an ice cream sandwhich, after i cleaned it out, moved her bangs out of the way and then got her ice!

Happy Fathers Day!

Kevin is one of the best dad's I know! He loves his kids, with all his heart, and is good to them. I am very thankful that he is the dad to my kids! For his gifts, We got him the shirt from a couple of posts down, which he wore today and received TONS of compliments! :) Then at church, they made him Aprons! He actually loved the gift as he loves to cook out! I got him a frame of our 6 kids for his desk at work! :)

I was on a Mission!

I know I think different than others do, and I am ok with this, I think it makes me more of an artist, or at least that is my hope! :) So long ago when we first learned we were going to Texas, I bought the red beach chair frame, and at the time didn't know for sure what i wanted in it. Then we got to the beach, and Kevin handed me a sea shell, and i thought oh that is it! So as Cori began saying 'I was on a mission" I wanted many shells, I looked high and low with the help of the girls for 8 shells, so I could do a "Team Cooper" pic with shells. The last night there, Sam and hannah stayed with me and we found even more... that is when i thought I want a bowl with sand and shells! I knew in my mind who, what, when, why and how, i was going to use these shells! It became the joke between Cori and I. I LOVE the outcome, and oh man did it take awhile to get there! Bleaching, cleaning, hot glue gun, drying, washing, rinsing, you name it we did it! While I am not very crafty I do love the frame we made, and the bowl as well... I love the entire table actually!

Team Cooper makes Lackland AFB News Paper!

I took this collage from My cousins blog, as we do not have the paper yet, but seems how we had to stay in Texas for an extra day, we decided to go to the base pool, while there the newspaper photographer was there and wanted to put us in the paper. I personally think he took better shots than what is shown, but oh well, this is the one they used! :)

"Uncle Bigil and Princess Aunt Yahaira"

We got to see my brother and sister in law on Sunday. We went swimming and had a cookout with not only Virgil and Yahaira but good friends of theirs as well. John, Jenn, and Danny we fun to be around and the girls kept referring to Ms. Jenn as "Aunt Yahaira's Best Friend" My boys have always loved Uncle Virgil, but this was the first "real" time seeing the girls, they saw them as infants, but i excited to see what they thought of one another now. Dave now towers Uncle Virgil, Broc and Heath still think he is "cool" but the ladies kept telling us "Uncle Bigil is so handsome" then of course after being with Aunt Sara last summer who taught the triplets her name was "Princess Aunt Sara" they refer to both Sara and Yahaira this way. Both ladies are "just like Princess Jasmine" what high regards coming from 4 year olds! We had a great time, and I wish I lived closer to family and friends... Maybe one day?

Padre Island

I just told Kevin and Cori there are going to be tons of Beach/Texas posts, and I am so sorry... i just can't help myself. I am not sure who the two girls are in the middle of this collage. but I love the pic! I think that is Payton waiting for the water, as she was the bravest, and then of course the boys! Ohhhh I wish we could be on vacation for a whole month!

Jody being bossy!

Ohhhh I try to be so nice, and with all my clients, it works so well, but with Team Cooper urggggg they all think they are so funny, and show out for one another! So I handed Chris (Cori's husband) my camera so he would be ready while I set up our entire session. Cori tells me they laughed and laughed in their truck watching us, why? Because they don't listen to me! I have to point and was jumping up and down, mind you this is not only with the kids, but Kevin as well! Thought you all may love the laugh and the outtakes!

Vacation on this economy?

I know I would be asking the same question how does such a big family go on vacation in these economic times? (by the way this does not offend me at all, I LOVE a deal) We haven't been on vacation as a family for a couple of years now so we thought it was high time, if at all possible to do so this year! We had a couple of places in mind, but the good ol air force tends to help us make other plans. Then to be honest we used more money from our income taxes then we originally wanted to for bills and necessities so it came down to ok where can we somewhat go on a budget? Right about that time, Cori called me and said come to Texas... um 12 hours away 6 kids, not so appealing. But then we added what the amount of hotels alone would save us... and Cori called and said guess what? They had gotten season passes to BOTH Sea World and Six Flags. Well, there are certain weeks for both places where we could go with them to each place for FREE! I added up these costs as well, it was a savings of almost $900.00 altogether! There were bonus as well to Texas, My brother lives there, so on and so forth. So after Kevin was finally approved to do so, we decided Texas it was for this years Team Cooper Vacation! We had a great time, and would love to do a yearly trip, but can not hold our breathe. *I should also note this is why I choose to work on vacation, I did a family session and a wedding! This way, I was helping us pay for vacation as we went :)
These shots are from Sea World... it was HOT but we had tons of fun!
These are just a bunch of random images i wanted to share... of all 6 or even all 10. The pool, the beach, amusement parks, were some of the great things we got to do!

We were headed home.... and then we went swimming!

We were due to leave Texas today, but literally as Kevin was loading the van, the van battery died as well as the air in the tire, it was gone, so back and forth to the car places Kevin and Chris went, and by 2 o'clock it was evident we were not only staying in San Antonio another night but we went swimming with the Pearsons for the afternoon! While we were at the pool however, the newspaper guy on base, asked if he could photograph all of team cooper (sans me, i wasn't in the water) he took a photograph of all 7 and told us they would be in the paper, Aunt Cori has promised to get us quite a few copies!
