brotherly love

Back Story: While Kevin and I were in DC my parents (papa) let Broc bring his mattress into Dave's room. The 3 boys often sleep in Dave's room, but now Broc did all the time, being that is where his bed was.

This morning first thing, nice and early the triplets came to my room very worried "Mama, Mama we can't find Brocy he is not in Day Days' room... Mama where is he?" Well I had no clue, when I went to bed at midnight all was good. So I got up I too went to Dave's room, Heath was asleep so was Dave but sure enough No Broc! Now the girls were really worried, see Mama..... so we went to the game room (there is a couch in there) No Broc again... So as a last resort to be honest we went to Broc's own room. Sure enough there was Broc asleep in his bed... Ok good Brocy was found and ok... Later on Kevin called and i said "did you know Broc moved his huge mattress back to his room last night?" Kevin said "yeah, Broc and Dave got divorced last night... so Broc got mad and went to his own room!"

Kevin's 18 Year Anniversary!

Today is Kevin's 18 Year Anniversary for serving his country in the United States Air Force! Now, I know that I am biased... but I am not the only one who loves how he does his job! When we go somewhere, his troops come right up to him and tell him they miss him, ask him when he is coming back to be their Flight Chief. Why? Because he takes his job as a NCO very serious. Kevin loves his Airman he feels if no one goes to bat for them, where is the morale! Kevin is very old school in how he thinks especially at work, but I burst with pride when we attend a function and the Airman clap for him, just upon him walking into a room. Kevin does not come home for me, he does not take time off, he is dedicated to his job and takes it seriously. This does tend to change Team Cooper plans often, but I feel like I knew that when I became an Air Force Wife! I was hired to do a function last week, and while we were there a Colonel, a Chief and Lt. Colonel said to me "We are very proud of Tsgt. Cooper, he is the best of the best"... yeahhh I am that proud Air Force Wife!

Freshman Year; Second Half!

Wellll let me give you the background. When we moved here they told us Dave had too many credits, that he would only need 4 classes. I want you to know I argued this until I was blue in the face, but oh no Mrs. Cooper, we are sure.... Then we moved to a new school district, so on and so forth, at the end of Dave's Freshman year, we got a letter in the mail stating that as of right now, he was still a Freshman because he was 1 full credit short! Ohhhhh I hit the roof! I was like you have got to be kidding me! Kevin and I fought this tooth and nail, but when we realized it was going to do no good, we decided to use it as a learning lesson. Dave is very smart, but even at his own admittance, lazy, so we thought welllll... This of course back fired, he ended up taking classes, he has already taken but because they were called something different here than in Europe, he showed no credit, for those.... Anyhow, today was his last day, he came home all proud because he had gotten and A and high B. :) and is now officially a Sophomore! I don't know that he learned a lesson, but at least he was a good sport about it!
I have never seen a Summer School report card, so just in case you haven't seen one either :)

Broc's Hobby...

This has become Broc's latest hobby. He has earned his own money to buy all the stuff to make very nice cars... So today I finally got him one from his dad and I. After seeing how well he has earned and cared for the cars, we got him one on clearance :) this hobby is not cheap by the way! But I would rather him do this than alot of other things kids his age do!

Random Team Cooper Activities...

The Triplets posing for me before we went to McD's for lunch! We have had a pretty mellow weekend, we did a yard sale, to which Broc was very excited, he got right up Sat morning, He was on a mission to find books... 5 for a dollar mom!
Heath is doing well, trying to convince Kevin and I to let him play football, which he has done so in the past, but here it's tackle... We'll see.

Look at my baby.... He is doing sooo well, to the point where we even pull over all the time, farther and farther down the road, so he can drive us all home! In this picture, he is telling me "really mom, every time" :)

Storm Skies, July 4th!

Look how pretty our skies are when it storms here! These were all taken within One hour of each other, before, during and after a huge rainstorm! While this is not my favorite place to live, you can't beat the scenery!

Six Flags...

Now that I am caught up on work, I went through Six Flags pictures, and found more I wanted to share! Kevin and I prayed before we went on this trip, we wanted to teach our kids somethings, but then the funniest thing happened, we all learned somethings about our family. Kevin says to correct myself in this post, he's not "that grouchy, it was just hot" :) But all in all I think we had a great time with the 8 of us being together!

that is Payton eating salad... she is the only one of our 6 kids who will eat it! The boat ride, the ladies made Kevin go on 15 times... seriously! He's not too much of a rider, but he did that one!

Fireworks...

The fireworks began at 9:30, but we headed out to the park early. Did some sparklers, ate, played at the park, set off some of our own fireworks, and then watched the main ones! We had a great time! We are so spoiled by New Mexico Weather! It's so nice! The ladies are scared of everything, they like it, and want to watch, but they cling together while yelling at the boys Do it again!

Fourth Of July Parade!

We love the annual Fourth of July Parade (ok the boys could do without it, but they even joined in) and yes, I make us match every year. People comment every year that the boys match, and the girls match! Believe it or not the boys don't fight me about it too bad, I only make them once a year, so I guess they figure, they may as well.

Wave Pool

At the end of the day, we went to the wave pool! Again something we don't have here, so Heath and The Triplets loved it! Broc is not in any pictures, why? Ohhh he was far off at the water slides! Dave and I had gotten Sun Poisoning the day before, so he just sat chillin on his cell phone... It was a nice ending to a very hot day!

The Shamu Show!

The only show I insisted we see was the Shamu Show! You have to it's a must at Sea World... now mind you we took the boys and our nephew 5 years ago, but that must have been so long ago that my family forgot how wet you get when sitting in the splash zone.... Again it was hot, and Kevin is just... I don't know grouchy in general when it comes to rides and water! So he wouldn't go on anything much less get wet, then cori talked him into sitting down in front, I am secretly thinking surely he remembers how wet you get... or not! Needless to say when it says splash zone... well you get soaked! It was the perfect day for this show, as they were all dry in i would say 20 minutes tops!

Dolphin Feeding at Sea World

We have been to Sea World a couple of times, but this was the girls first time, and all of our first time feeding the dolphins. We got to Sea World, and were all alittle grumpy..... it was hot, all 14 of us wanted to do different things, I didn't want to waste all day at the wave pool, when I knew we can't come back anytime soon and there is so much to do! So at first, noone was interested in feeding the dolphins... but once we began watching everyone else, Oh then everyone wanted to! What an Awesome experience! Kevin even enjoyed himself! (he's kinda grumpy in general when doing things) the boys fed and petted them, but the girls couldn't reach so they got to feed them! We all had lots of fun, and after that, were all in a better mood!

Cori and I at the Alamo...

One of the things we got to do was go to dinner with just the adults (see post down the blog) but I forgot to post Cori and I in front of the Alamo! I love this picture.... I love history to a degree, I love photographing history, but most of all I love those shoes, and how good they make my legs look!! :) (this was for Cori's benefit, that i wrote this) To see all our adventures on the River Walk Night Tour, Click Here
